Sarah Enuwamagbe

Sarah Ajose-Adeogun nee Esangbedo is an accomplished professional with over two
decades of multidisciplinary experience in the oil and gas industry. During her
distinguished career in the Oil industry spent in the Royal Dutch group and its
subsidiaries in Nigeria that include the Shell Petroleum Development Company, Shell
Nigeria Exploration and Production Company and the Shell Nigeria Closed Pension
Funds, Sarah was involved in various transformation initiatives that generated
sustainable value across social performance, information technology, and local content
disciplines.
In her role of Social Performance Team Lead responsible for Tertiary Education, Sarah
managed the Shell Nigeria University Scholarship Portfolio that gave support to over
1000 students on an annual basis, including an overseas scholarship program for
postgraduate studies in Engineering and Geosciences worth about Seven Hundred
Thousand Dollars Annually. While at the Shell Nigeria Closed Pension Fund
Administrators as IT Manager, Sarah deployed technology applications for the
management of over USD2 billion investment funds and managed the Pension Fund
digitization Programme. Most recently, She managed the USD 2,4 billion Shell
Contractors Fund, a financial intermediation platform involving 8 leading Nigerian Banks
in support of Nigerian Oil and Gas Contractors under the Shell Nigerian Content
Development Programme.
Sarah is the first and only female thus far that has held the Position of Branch
Chairperson of the PENGASSAN Shell Branch and in fact any of the IoCs in Nigeria. She is
also, the only person that has led the Shell Women’s Network for two tenures and the
only one that has held that role on Job Group 4 as the role is usually seen as a senior
role.
Sarah is a graduate of English & Literary Studies from the Bendel State University,
Ekpoma (now Ambrose Alli University). She has a Post Graduate Degree in Business
Administration and also in Management both from the University of Liverpool in the
The United Kingdom.
Sarah is an indigene of Igueben LGA in Edo State and She retired from the Shell Group
as the Community Content Manager, of The Shell Petroleum Development Company of
Nigeria Ltd, (SPDC) to join the Edo State Government as Special Adviser in charge of
Strategy, Planning, Performance Management & Projects.
Sarah is a certified Project Manager, Business Analyst and a certified mediator, she is an
Associate of the Women in Management and Business and (WIMBIZ) and a trustee of
Noah’s Ark Foundation for Sickle Cell (NAFFSC). She runs the ‘Catch Them Young
program, a guidance counseling and ethical program for female secondary school
students.
She is blessed with three children. She enjoys traveling, music, and dancing.
